Mr. G. Sambhashivaiah
Former Chairman of KEB
Finding a bride or groom has become harder today. In the past, large(Joint) families helped with matchmaking through their networks and experience. But now, with smaller families and busy lives, people often lack the time and connections to find a partner. To help the community with this, the Lingayath Kalyana Trust was formed and has been serving the community for over 50 years!
The Lingayath Kalyana Trust (LKT) has a proud legacy of service rooted in the values of community, connection, and commitment. Our journey began in 1969, when the late Mr. G. Sambhashivaiah established the Veerashaiva Lingayath Vadhu Vara Kankana Bhagya Vedhika under the Karnataka Veerashaiva Vidyabhivrudhi Samsthe (KVVS). With a visionary goal of supporting matrimonial alliances within the Veerashaiva Lingayath community, the organization focused on collecting and maintaining profiles of potential brides and grooms
In 1981, under the leadership of Mr. S. T. Shivaswamy, the initiative expanded its mission and was renamed the Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Vivaha Sahayaka Mandali. This marked a shift from simple data collection to a more proactive matchmaking model—facilitating in-person introductions and building a more dynamic platform for connecting families
A major milestone came in 1995, when the organization was formally registered and renamed the Lingayath Kalyana Trust (LKT). This transition solidified its identity as a structured, community-driven institution dedicated to matrimonial services with professionalism and purpose

Headquartered in Bangalore, LKT stands apart from conventional online matrimonial services through its holistic and culturally rooted approach. A hallmark of our work is the organization of samaveshas—monthly and quarterly in-person events where hundreds of prospective brides and grooms, along with their families, gather to interact, connect, and explore compatible matches. These gatherings blend traditional values with a contemporary setting, enabling meaningful connections that lead to lasting relationships.
Over the decades, the Lingayath Kalyana Trust has successfully guided thousands toward fulfilling marriages and continues its noble mission to strengthen the social fabric of the Veerashaiva Lingayath community through trustworthy and compassionate matchmaking.
